Encourage your kids to read at home by directing them to the Knicks & Liberty Postcard Club at www.powertolearn.com. |
| |
There they can select the book that corresponds to their favorite Knicks or Liberty player. By clicking on the book's title, your child will generate a printable pop-up window with the information about the book that they will need to get it from a school or local library or a bookstore. |
| |
After they have read the book, your child returns to www.powertolearn.com to take a short multiple-choice reading comprehension quiz. If he or she passes (65% or greater) your child will be invited to immediately print out a personalized postcard from the player who corresponds to the book. |

Play a Knicks Video Book for your child at home instead of allowing them to watch television! |
| |
Visit the Knicks Video Books section of www.powertolearn.com, where you will find three animated children's books to choose from. |
| |
Each book is read or introduced by a variety of players and Spike Lee. Students love to see their favorite Knicks players read aloud to them, and they can also read along with the narrator in the captioned version. |
| |
If you would like some ideas on how to talk to your children about the book look over the corresponding lesson plans. |
